why there is an application needed for senior citizen card ? Based on Aadhar card, after crossing 60 years of age, GOVT should send senior citizen card automatically to the address mentioned in Aadhar card. so that this application process can be completely done away. GOVT to kindly look into this suggestion.

It is thoroughly disappointing to note how cumbersome the process of issuing of senior citizen cards have turning out to be. As some one suggested, cards could be issued directly based on Aadhar Cards, EPF cards, Driving Licenses and other Govt approved data bases.
Alternatively, making the online application process would make lives easier for Senior Citizens and save a trip to Tahsildar offices where red tapism may be expected.
Making Senior Citizens go offline and visit the Tahsildar offices is atrocious.
After thorough search I couldn’t get the Link either to apply online senior citizen Card or application form. Why don’t put a direct Link to fill up the data online and submit the application and required attachments..

ALl other states have simplified the process online but in our state we need to download the form and fill it and apply physically it seems, we should be able to upload scanned copies of proof online please.

Actually it is the big mistake of Central Govt. to have given the responsibility to State Govts. to provide the Senior Citizen Card. When they could give pan card, aadhar card, abha card, covid status, Voter ID, etc., I am wondering why couldn’t they give the Senior Citizen Card. After all, the State Govt. can only verify the Pan Card, Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, etc., with the Central Govt.
Other States where BJP govts are ruling it is easily implemented to get the Senior Citizen Smart Cards. I think it is the Telangana Govt., which is creating hardships to Senior Citizens. There is a link to download the form online but ridiculously it is asking Application Number when it is not provided anywhere on the form.
Only Admin can answer these questions and he can provide the support Number to find answers.

A SUGGESTION: There should not be any application required to apply for a Senior Citizen Digital Card. Government can easily issue and post the Senior Citizen Digital Card on the address mentioned in the Adhaar card, using the details available in Adhaar and PAN cards, which are primarily required to issue the card. Hope the Government considers this process and make Senior Citizens lives easy and hassle-free.
